ESL Grammar: What Tense Is That?

ESL Conversation Questions: Mongolia



1. What do you know about Mongolia? 

2. Genghis Khan was known as one of the most powerful leaders to exist in the ancient world and had created an empire that spanned from the Pacific Ocean to modern day Hungary. What characteristics do you think would be needed to be such a powerful leader?

3. It is said that Ghenghis Khan was born into humble beginnings, but eventually grew to become a powerful leader. Do you think it is very possible for people to grow out of poverty or a poor situation in your country? 

4. In the countryside of Mongolia people live a nomadic lifestyle. What are some of the pros and cons of living nomadically?
